Winterize Your Fuel System
To prevent condensation in the fuel tank and the break down of fuel during storage, fill your fuel tank with gas and add the appropriate amount of fuel stabilizer (7-09013). The current shelf life of today's fuel is about three months without stabilizer. When winterizing your engines after adding fuel stabilizer, allow the engine to run long enough to get the fuel/stabilizer mixture through the system. About 10-15 minutes at idle or 3 minutes at wide open throttle should do it. This is an important step to ensuring a trouble-free engine.
